BASS HILL CLINIC

HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENT

Deeply cleanse, hydrate and refresh your skin in one treatment.

HydraFacial is designed for skin that looks dull, dry, congested or tired. Using advanced vortex technology, the treatment gently cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities and infuses the skin with hydration for a smoother, brighter and healthier-looking complexion.

WHAT DOES HYDRAFACIAL DO FOR YOUR FACE?

HydraFacial deeply cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates the skin to help it look clearer, smoother and more radiant.

Unlike a traditional facial, HydraFacial uses a specialised device to remove dead skin cells, loosen congestion, clear impurities from the pores and deliver hydrating serums into the skin. This makes it a popular treatment for dullness, dryness, congestion, enlarged pores, uneven texture and skin that needs a visible refresh.

At Kalani Clinic, your HydraFacial is tailored to what your skin needs on the day. Some clients need deeper cleansing and pore refinement. Others need hydration, glow and barrier support. The goal is not just to make the skin look better immediately (which it will do), but to support healthier-looking skin over time.

Best For:

Dull skin

Dehydrated skin

Congested pores

Blackheads

Uneven texture

Oily skin

Pre-event glow

Skin maintenance

Fine lines caused by dryness

DOES HYDRAFACIAL GIVE INSTANT GLOW?

Yes, HydraFacial gives the skin an instant glow because it removes surface buildup, clears congestion and infuses hydration into the skin.

This is one of the main reasons people book HydraFacial before events, photos, weddings or special occasions. The skin often looks fresher, smoother and more hydrated after one treatment, with makeup sitting more evenly and the complexion appearing brighter.

The glow comes from three things working together: cleaner pores, smoother skin texture and improved surface hydration. When dead skin cells and congestion are removed, the skin reflects light better. When hydration is infused, the skin can look plumper and more refreshed.

For best results before an event, book your HydraFacial a few days before, especially if your skin is sensitive or prone to redness.

HOW LONG WILL HYDRAFACIAL RESULTS LAST?

HydraFacial results typically last 5 to 7 days, with many people enjoying healthier-looking skin for up to 4 weeks depending on their skin type, home care and lifestyle.

Instant Glow

Your skin feels cleaner, smoother and deeply hydrated. Many people notice brighter, more radiant skin immediately after treatment.

Peak Results

Hydration is at its highest, pores appear cleaner and your complexion looks fresher and more luminous. This is why many people schedule a HydraFacial before weddings, holidays and special events.

Maintained Healthy Skin

With the right skincare and daily sun protection, your skin can continue looking healthier and more refreshed. Over time, your skin naturally begins accumulating oil, dead skin cells and environmental buildup again.

WHAT ARE THE 5 STEPS IN HYDRAFACIAL?

The 5 steps in HydraFacial are cleanse, exfoliate, extract, hydrate and protect.

Each step is designed to improve the skin without harsh scrubbing, squeezing or aggressive downtime.

1. Cleanse

The skin is cleansed to remove surface oil, makeup, sunscreen and daily buildup.

2. Exfoliate

Dead skin cells are gently loosened to smooth the surface and help reveal fresher-looking skin.

3. Extract

Vortex suction helps clear congestion, oil and impurities from the pores without manual squeezing.

4. Hydrate

Hydrating serums are infused into the skin to support a plumper, fresher and more radiant appearance.

5. Protect

Your clinician finishes the treatment with suitable aftercare to support the skin barrier and protect your results.

WHO SHOULD NOT GET A HYDRAFACIAL?

You should not get a HydraFacial if your skin is currently sunburnt, severely irritated, broken, infected or experiencing an active flare-up that needs medical care.

HydraFacial is suitable for many skin types, but it is still an active skin treatment. If your skin barrier is extremely compromised, if you have open wounds, active infection, severe inflammatory acne, a fresh peel, recent laser treatment or you are using certain prescription skin medications, your clinician may recommend waiting.

At Kalani Clinic, we do not treat every skin the same. Your skin is assessed before treatment so we can decide whether HydraFacial is suitable, whether the treatment needs to be adjusted, or whether another skin treatment would be more appropriate.

This is especially important if you have:

  • Active sunburn
  • Open cuts or wounds
  • Severe skin irritation
  • Active infection
  • Recent cosmetic treatment
  • Very reactive or inflamed skin
  • Recent use of strong prescription skin medication
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding concerns

If HydraFacial is not right for your skin on the day, we will guide you toward a safer option. Alternatively, you can book a free skin consultation if you're unsure whether HydraFacial is the right treatment for your skin.

Your clinician will recommend the most suitable option based on your skin goals, whether that is glow, hydration, congestion, texture or maintenance.

IS A HYDRAFACIAL ACTUALLY WORTH IT?

Yes, HydraFacial is worth it if you want a treatment that deeply cleanses, hydrates and refreshes the skin with little to no downtime.

It is especially worth it for people who feel like their skin looks dull, tired, rough, congested or dehydrated even when they use good skincare at home. Skincare helps maintain the skin, but HydraFacial gives the skin a more thorough cleanse and hydration boost than most home routines can achieve.

HydraFacial is not a replacement for laser, skin needling, injectables or medical skin treatments. It will not dramatically lift the face or remove deep wrinkles. Its strength is improving the look and feel of the skin: smoother texture, cleaner pores, better hydration and a healthier glow.

At Kalani Clinic, we recommend HydraFacial when it makes sense for your skin, not just because it is popular.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HYDRAFACIAL

The pros of HydraFacial are smoother, cleaner, more hydrated skin with little to no downtime, while the cons are that results are temporary and deeper concerns may need other treatments.

HydraFacial is excellent for glow, hydration, congestion and maintenance. It is not designed to replace treatments like laser, HIFU, skin needling or injectables.

HydraFacial is not painful for the face.

Our clients describe it as a gentle suction or cleansing sensation. Some areas, such as around the nose or congested pores, may feel slightly more active during extraction.

After a HydraFacial, you should avoid strong exfoliants, retinol, active acids, heavy sun exposure, saunas and harsh scrubs for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Your skin has just been exfoliated and treated, so the goal is to keep it calm, hydrated and protected.

HydraFacial may soften the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration, but it does not remove deep wrinkles.

The treatment can make the skin look plumper, smoother and more hydrated, which may temporarily improve the look of fine lines.

HydraFacial may be right for you if your skin looks dull, congested, dry, uneven, tired or in need of a visible refresh.

The best way to know is to have your skin assessed so the treatment can be matched to your skin condition and goals.

HydraFacial side effects are usually mild and temporary, such as slight redness, sensitivity or tightness after treatment.

Most people return to normal activities quickly, but sensitive or reactive skin may need more careful aftercare.

Yes, a 30 minute HydraFacial can be enough for a quick cleanse, hydration boost and glow.

If your skin needs more correction, extra attention, boosters or combined treatments, a longer or more customised option may be recommended.

There is usually little to no downtime after a HydraFacial.

Most people can return to normal activities the same day, although it is best to avoid strong actives, heat and heavy sun exposure straight after treatment.

You can usually wear makeup after a HydraFacial, but it is better to let the skin breathe for the rest of the day if possible.

If you are having the treatment before an event, ask your clinician when it is best to apply makeup based on your skin type.

HydraFacial may help acne-prone skin by clearing congestion, removing excess oil and supporting cleaner pores.

It is not a cure for acne, and active or severe acne may need a more targeted treatment plan.
